R01 Submission Checklist

The most frequent grant submissions in BMC are new R01 proposals and renewals of existing R01 awards. The award submission itself takes place through Cayuse, but a WISPER record for internal use by Research and Sponsored Programs and SMPH is also required.

To get the WISPER record approved, the following pieces are needed:

  1. Key Words (4-5)  and Abstract (max. 30 lines)
  2. Budget (Sample linked here)
  3. Budget Justification

For final submission of the whole proposal through Cayuse, the following components are needed:

If UW will be issuing a subaward under your proposal, the following additional pieces are required:

  1. Subaward Budget
  2. Subaward Budget Justification
  3. Scope of Work
  4. Biosketches for Key Personnel
  5. Letter from Subaward Institution
